North Idaho Enological Society October 2018
PROGRAM FOR THE EVENING
Last season Joe Gore, from Ste Michelle Wine Estates, gave a presentation marking the 50th anniversary of Chateau Ste Michelle and its impact on the Washington State Wine Industry. It was very well received, so Joe is coming back to talk about the Ste Michelle Wine Estates international partnerships with Spanish wine producer Miguel Torres of Familia Torres.
Familia Torres is the largest winemaker in Spain. Their roots go back to 1870. They are also a wine producer in Chile and have vineyards in California. Their wines can be found in 150 countries. Joe will give us the history and philosophy of this storied wine producer. Hell also taste us through seven of their wines. We will start the evening with a club first, A sparkling rose from Chile made from the Pais grape. This grape was first brought to Chile in the 16th century. The remaining six wines will be from Spain. They will include an Albarino, Garnacha, Tempranillo and a Priorat. Join us for a very entertaining and engaging evening!
Bring friends! What better way to introduce them to our club and to enjoy and learn about wine.
Membership dues for the 2018-19 season are staying at $25! Get your dues in soon!
Were excited for our new season. We hope to see you there!
